In this carving Rob depicts the relaxed but alert feeling the great horned owl is noted for. Tupelo wood is used for the owl and the weathered tree stump and the base is solid walnut. This carving is signed and dated on the feather in front of the bird. The best acylic paints are used along with a premium sealer. This bird is one of a kind ;a unique work of art.
Green Heron
This very detailed carving was done from one solid piece of tupelo, which means the bird and the rocks and the branches arn't seperate piece's of wood. Rob also carved the turtle and lily pads from tupelo. The base is solid oak, and of course Rob uses the best acrlic paints and sealers. This carving is signed and dated on the bottom of the base.
