Where Wood Comes Alive

To know me better, here is an interview from a local newspaper about my interest into the art of bird carving.

Welcome to Nippersink Raptor Studio. My name is Rob Fulton. I have had the love of nature in my blood as far back as I can remember. It started with always observing nature all around me as I went fishing or just hiking. During these times I incorporated my feeling of nature through my artwork that I performed thru out school. In my middle teens, I went to schooling to learn to be a taxidermist which I have done for 30+ years.

As time went on, I found myself scrolling through the internet just to see the subject of bird carving for the first time. I became so excited about this form of art and I pursued it instantly. After bird carving  my first bird out of wood the “American Kestrel”, I noticed it came very natural to me. At this time back in 2006 Nippersink Raptor Studio was born. To this day each piece of work I create is one of a kind and is signed and dated and comes with a letter of authenticity.

Also, each carving comes with a C.D, showing the bird I just finished for you at no additional charge. In the following pages you will see the carving process in detail. If for any reason you may have a question, please well free to contact me at anytime.
